See below for a council update, Quincy Rec Adult Programs, and helpful information.

Ward 3 Projects

The Bog

Work will continue over the next few weeks at the wetlands between Hobart and Sherman St, commonly known as “the bog.” Two access gates were already added to the Hobart St side for future maintenance access, and some trees were cleared for a maintenance path. Some stormwater drainage lines were cleaned, and a liner was added for leaks. Weather permitting, the DPW expects the work to conclude in the next few weeks. With the clearing of sediment, some residents nearby may observe vibrations at their property depending upon ground conditions. I visited the site this past week while work was in progress.

Quincy Recreation - Adult Athletic Program

The Quincy Recreational Department has taken its programming to the next level by offering athletic programs for adults. I only run when chased, but getting out of the house during the winter to enjoy athletics is a great way to escape the winter blues. See below for more information about the hockey, volleyball, and basketball options for adults. Visit www.QuincyRec.com for more information as well.

Please Note

The information on third-party and city events is shared here in good faith as a helpful resource, based on our best efforts. We strongly recommend verifying all details—including any updates, rescheduling, or cancellations—directly with the official source or organizer.
